In a proud moment for Dhanbad, the district team emerged victorious in the 64th State-Level Subroto Cup Football Tournament (U-17 Boys), clinching the State Champion title after defeating Dumka 2-0 in the final held at Ranchi on July 19. The team is now set to represent Jharkhand at the National Subroto Cup in Bengaluru.
In recognition of this achievement, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Aditya Ranjan felicitated the team members with flower garlands and words of encouragement. He urged them to bring glory to the state at the national level as well.
The journey to victory began with PM Shri BTM High School, Malkera, securing the top position in the district-level tournament, followed by a win over Hazaribagh in the divisional round held at Ramgarh. The team’s consistent performance led to their state-level triumph.
