New Delhi, August 14 – The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) has taken a major step to boost dairy quality and rural–urban linkages by launching Cow Milk, co-branded dairy products, and allotting 22 new milk booths. The announcement was made during a special event on August 13 at the NASC Complex, Pusa, attended by Smt. Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), along with other senior officials.
The initiative aims to enhance consumer trust, provide inclusive opportunities to livestock farmers, and create employment. In her address, Smt. Upadhyaya outlined the vision for strengthening the dairy ecosystem and praised the efforts of DMS and the Haryana Milk Federation.
Additional Secretary Ms. Varsha Joshi emphasized the importance of DMS milk and dairy products in the Delhi-NCR region, noting the positive market impact of the new offerings. The event also saw participation from senior DAHD officials, Haryana Dairy Development Co-Operative Federation representatives, and beneficiaries of the booth allotment scheme.
