Dhanbad: On the directions of District Election Officer (Municipal)–cum–Deputy Commissioner Shri Aditya Ranjan, hands-on training on ballot boxes was organized today at the New Town Hall for all Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers of Dhanbad Municipal Corporation and Chirkunda Nagar Parishad in view of the upcoming urban local body elections.
During the session, master trainers explained the different parts of the ballot box, procedures for opening and closing it, and methods of sealing. All Returning Officers were then given practical demonstrations and operated the ballot boxes themselves.
Later, the Returning Officers were introduced to the Sector Officers present for the training. Sector Officers were also briefed about their roles and responsibilities. Executive Magistrate Shri Narayan Ram informed participants about the Model Code of Conduct, while DSP CCR Shri Sumit Kumar guided Sector Police Officers on their duties and responsibilities.
