Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Mr. Aditya Ranjan today conducted an inspection of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Health Sub-Centre) located in Damodarpur Panchayat. During his visit, the DC took a detailed review of the healthcare facilities and directed the officials to strengthen the overall service delivery system at the centre.
Community Health Officer (CHO) briefed the DC about various services being provided at the sub-centre, including OPD, NCD screening, prenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women. The CHO also pointed out the shortage of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and highlighted the urgent need for furniture, basic medical kits, infrastructural upgrades, and construction of a shed for yoga activities.
Taking immediate note of the concerns, DC Aditya Ranjan instructed the Civil Surgeon to initiate the recruitment process for vacant ANM positions. He further directed for renovation of the building, installation of essential infrastructure, provision of delivery kits, ECG machines, and necessary furniture. He also ordered installation of window nets, proper cleaning of bushes around the premises, construction of a yoga shed, and wall painting to promote government health schemes.
The DC emphasized improving the number of deliveries at the centre and maintaining the existing services with high quality. He also instructed that the list of available medicines be prominently displayed on a board and that all efforts be made to ensure maximum comfort for the public visiting the facility.
Present during the inspection were Civil Surgeon Dr. Alok Vishwakarma, DPM Mr. Neeraj Yadav, the CHO and the DMFT team.
