A surprise inspection was conducted today by the PC & PNDT team under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Alok Vishwakarma at Asharfi Hospital and Amrapali City Hospital.
During the inspection, several irregularities were found at Asharfi Hospital. These included poor maintenance of the kitchen, substandard food being served to patients, no display of hospital registration as per the Clinical Establishment Act, absence of fire NOC, and no bed charge list at the reception counter.
At Amrapali City Hospital, serious violations were discovered. The hospital was operating without a valid registration. A patient was being treated in the absence of a registered doctor. The hospital displayed the name and photo of Dr. S.K. Das, who denied any involvement when contacted.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Vishwakarma stated that operating a hospital without registration is a punishable offense. A fine will be imposed on Amrapali City Hospital after proper assessment.
The inspection team included Dr. Vikas Kumar Rana, Executive Magistrate Narayan Ram, Food Safety Officer Raja Kumar, Dr. Rakesh Inder (IMA), Dr. Manju Das, Dr. Shams Tabrez, Mrs. Nita Sinha, and Mrs. Pooja Ratnakar.
