In preparation for the 45th convocation ceremony of IIT ISM scheduled on August 1, 2025, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Aditya Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Prabhat Kumar today conducted an inspection of the route from the Jharkhand–West Bengal border in Maithon to IIT ISM.
During the inspection, the DC issued several directives to ensure smooth movement and top-tier security for the Hon’ble President. He instructed barricading at Hatiya Mod cut in Nirsa, strict prohibition on roadside parking, imposition of fines on violators, and continuation of the anti-encroachment drive along the alternate route.
Instructions were also given for the repair, barricading, and cleanliness of the Govindpur–Tundi Road and barricading on the Govindpur–Dhanbad Road. Deployment of senior police officials along key stretches was also ordered.
At Kisan Chowk and its service road, the DC directed the removal of encroachments and warned commercial establishments including Volvo, Renault, Kia Motors, marble showrooms, hotels, and dhabas not to park vehicles on the road.
Later, the DC inspected the IIT ISM venue where the Hon’ble President will attend the event. He reviewed arrangements including the Presidential Suite, accommodation for the Hon’ble Governor, Chief Minister, and other dignitaries, the exhibition area under construction, photo gallery, D area, green room, stage, safe house, media gallery, entry and exit points for the President, and designated parking areas.
Present during the inspection were Rural SP Shri Kapil Choudhary, City SP Shri Ritvik Srivastava, ADM (Law & Order) Smt. Hema Prasad, SDO Shri Rajesh Kumar, DTO Shri Diwakar C. Dwivedi, Traffic DSP Shri Arvind Kumar Singh, DSP (Law & Order) Shri Naushad Alam, officials from NHAI, and other administrative and police personnel.
