In view of the scheduled visit of the Hon’ble President of India to Dhanbad on August 1, 2025, the district administration has announced significant traffic restrictions across the city to ensure security and smooth movement.
As per the new plan, passenger buses operating from Bartand Bus Stand and Dhanbad Railway Station will be restricted up to Binod Bihari Chowk only. No bus will be permitted to enter the urban areas of Dhanbad on that day.
The entry of heavy vehicles will be strictly prohibited through major points including Gol Building, Memco More, Binod Bihari Chowk, and Matkuria Checkpost.
The administration has also enforced a no-parking zone along the stretch from Kisan Chowk to the Maithon Border and on all roads leading to the IIT (ISM) main gate. Vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, and others will not be allowed to stop or park along these routes.
Furthermore, all vehicle movement will be completely banned on the entire route of the President’s convoy. This includes Kisan Chowk to Memco More, City Center, SSLNT College, Randhir Verma Chowk, Police Headquarters, IIT Gate, and up to Saraidhela Thana More.
Residents and commuters have been urged to adhere to the traffic plan and use alternative routes to avoid disruptions and ensure safety during the high-profile visit.
