Dhanbad, July 31, 2025 — In view of the upcoming visit of Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, to Dhanbad on August 1, 2025, the district administration has issued a comprehensive traffic plan to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety.
As per the official order:
1. No passenger buses will be allowed to operate from Bartand Bus Stand or Dhanbad Railway Station. Instead, all passenger bus operations will be routed via Binod Bihari Chowk.
2. Entry of heavy vehicles will be strictly prohibited through routes like Gol Building, Memco Mod, Binod Bihari Chowk, and Matkuria Checkpost.
3. Stopping of any vehicle, big or small, will not be allowed on the roadside from Kisan Chowk to Maithon Border.
4. Parking of motorcycles, cars, or any other vehicle will be prohibited along the route from Kisan Chowk – Nirankari Chowk – Prabhatam Mall – City Center – SSLT College – Randhir Verma Chowk – Police Line – IIT ISM Gate.
5. From Kisan Chowk to Memco Mod via City Center, Luby Circular Road, Randhir Verma Chowk, Police Line, ISM Gate to Saraidhela Thana Mod, complete traffic restrictions will be enforced during the President’s motorcade movement.
6. Temporary restrictions and diversions will be imposed on the movement of autos, totos, and other small passenger vehicles in areas like Saraidhela Thana Mod, ISM, City Center, and Kisan Chowk, as required.
7. Alternate route for vehicles from Railway Station to Memco Mod (in case of diversions):
Railway Station → Shramik Chowk → Puja Talkies → Bekarbandh → Polytechnic → Binod Bihari Mahato Chowk → Kurmidih Mod → Memco Mod
8. Alternate route for vehicles from Saraidhela to Railway Station/Bank More:
Steel Gate → Gol Building → Memco Mod → Binod Bihari Chowk → Polytechnic → Bekarbandh → DRM Chowk → Railway Station
Note: Citizens are strongly advised to avoid using these key routes on August 1 unless absolutely necessary, to help ensure smooth and secure travel during the President’s visit.
