Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has landed in controversy after the Election Commission issued a notice to him for allegedly possessing two separate voter ID cards (EPIC numbers).
According to sources, both voter IDs are reportedly registered under Yadav's name but contain different personal details, raising concerns of electoral misconduct and violation of norms.
The Election Commission has sought a written explanation from Tejashwi Yadav within a stipulated timeframe. Failure to respond adequately may lead to further legal and electoral action.
The development has sparked a political stir in Bihar. While opposition parties have raised questions about procedural misuse, RJD supporters are calling it a politically motivated move.
All eyes are now on Tejashwi Yadav’s official response and the Election Commission’s next course of action.
