Gumla, Jharkhand: In a major success, Gumla Police gunned down a regional commander of a banned Naxal outfit, who carried a reward of ₹15 lakh on his head. The encounter took place in a forested area during a joint anti-Naxal operation.
Following the encounter, security forces recovered a pistol and live ammunition from the site.
This marks a significant blow to Naxal operations in the region and a boost to anti-insurgency efforts in Jharkhand.
