Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his upcoming visit to Kolkata, highlighting the government’s commitment to the city’s development, especially in the area of urban connectivity.
During the visit, he will inaugurate and flag off new metro services that are expected to significantly improve connectivity in the city:

Noapara – Jai Hind Bimanbandar (Airport) Metro Line – Enhancing seamless connectivity to and from Kolkata’s international airport.

Sealdah – Esplanade Metro Route – Easing travel between one of the busiest railway hubs and central business districts.

Beleghata – Hemanta Mukhopadhyay Metro Route – Connecting emerging residential and IT hub areas.
The projects are expected to reduce travel time, decongest city roads, and provide faster, more reliable transport to millions of daily commuters. PM Modi said that it is always a delight to be among the people of Kolkata, reiterating his commitment to the city’s development.
