New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to hold some bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit.
The SCO Summit, which brings together leaders from member countries, will serve as a platform for discussions on regional security, economic cooperation, and connectivity. According to MEA officials, while the detailed schedule of PM Modi’s engagements is still being finalized, bilateral meetings with key partner countries are on the agenda.
The SCO, comprising India, China, Russia, Pakistan, and several Central Asian nations, remains a crucial forum for addressing regional challenges, strengthening economic ties, and fostering cultural exchange.
Officials emphasized that India’s participation will focus on promoting regional stability, combating terrorism, boosting connectivity, and enhancing trade partnerships.
