Once again, a case of cyber fraud has emerged in Dhanbad district. A fraudster has created a fake Facebook account using the name and profile photo of Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Mr. Aditya Ranjan. Through this fake account, the fraudster is sending friend requests and attempting to scam people via Facebook Messenger.
Deputy Commissioner's Appeal: Be Cautious of Messages on Facebook Messenger
Taking the matter seriously, Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan has urged citizens to remain vigilant. He stated that if any unauthorized account sends a request for money, any kind of offer, or suspicious links, people should immediately block the account and report it to Facebook.

Where to File a Complaint?
The administration has informed citizens that such incidents can be reported on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at www.cybercrime.gov.in or at the nearest police station.
Police Informed, Action Will Be Taken Swiftly
