Singapore | The Indian Navy’s latest indigenously designed Diving Support Vessel (DSV), INS Nistar, has made its first port call at Changi, Singapore. The ship operates under the command of the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet.
INS Nistar will participate in the multinational Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 (XPR 25) beginning 15 September 2025.
Equipped with Side Scan Sonar, advanced Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), and state-of-the-art deep sea diving systems, INS Nistar will serve as the mothership (MoSHIP) for the Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV)—a critical platform for submarine rescue operations.
