Dhanbad. Ahead of Durga Puja, the district administration has gone on high alert. On Monday, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Aditya Ranjan directed in the District Road Safety Committee meeting that all basic facilities—roads, electricity, water, and sanitation—must be put in proper condition before the festival.
He emphasized that during Durga Puja, devotees from neighboring districts and states visit Dhanbad to witness its grand pandals and idols. Therefore, the administration’s goal is to ensure the city remains clean, safe, and free from traffic jams.

Cranes to be deployed in Govindpur and Rajganj to remove unauthorized vehicles from the National Highway.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, Tundi MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato, Rural SP Kapil Choudhary, City SP Ritwik Srivastava, and several senior officials and departmental representatives.
The administration clearly stated that providing a clean, safe, and secure environment to devotees during this year’s Durga Puja is its top priority.
