Dhanbad, October 17, 2025: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Mr. Aditya Ranjan organized a Janata Darbar (public grievance hearing) in his office chamber today. During the session, he patiently heard the problems and complaints of citizens from both urban and rural areas and assured them of timely and lawful redressal. He also directed the concerned officials to take immediate action for resolution.
During the Janata Darbar, Pankaj Kumar from Madanadih Bansjoda complained against BCCL management for allegedly conducting illegal excavation and OB dumping on raiyati (private) land. Vijay Kumar Mahato from Topchanchi submitted an application seeking financial assistance for medical treatment of a serious ailment. On this, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Civil Surgeon to extend benefits to the applicant under the Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Sahayata Yojana (Chief Minister’s Serious Illness Assistance Scheme).
Apart from these, issues related to land disputes, mutation of raiyati land, domestic violence, BPL quota admission, obstruction of access to a public well, issuance of OBC certificates, arms license applications, creation of Ayushman health cards, road construction, and removal of illegal encroachments were also brought to his notice.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the citizens that resolving public grievances is the top priority of the district administration. He emphasized that all complaints will be investigated lawfully and resolved at the earliest to ensure relief to the people.
