Dhanbad witnessed an encouraging academic response on the third day of Pre-Board Examinations, with over 97 percent student attendance across district schools. The examinations are being conducted ahead of the Board Exams for Class 10 and 12 (Second Pre-Board) and for Class 9 and 11 (First Pre-Board) under the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Mr. Aditya Ranjan.
Perfect attendance of 100 percent was recorded at PM Shri Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Jharia; PM Shri Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Baliapur; and Upgraded High School, Dhangi. Meanwhile, schools such as Dhanbad Pran Jeevan Academy, Rajkiyakrit High School Salukchapra, Shivaji Plus Two High School Benagoria, Millat High School Dhanbad, Khalsa High School Dhanbad, and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Govindpur recorded an impressive 99 percent attendance.
Similarly, Upgraded Plus Two High School, Mairanwatand (Purvi Tundi) recorded 98.5 percent attendance, Upgraded Plus Two High School, Kola Kusma 97.5 percent, Upgraded High School, Baghmara 98 percent, Upgraded High School, Lowadih 96 percent, Plus Two High School, Baliapur 95 percent, and Raj Plus Two High School, Jharia over 95 percent attendance.
Following the Deputy Commissioner’s instructions, answer sheets from previous pre-board examinations were evaluated in all schools after the exams, and topper scores were displayed on school notice boards. Teachers also discussed question papers with students to help improve performance. Absent students were tracked through phone calls and encouraged to appear in upcoming exams. Examination results were also reviewed during SMC and PTM meetings, and feedback was collected directly from students.
The Pre-Board Examinations will continue on January 20, 21, and 22, while the results will be declared on January 24.
