Dhanbad : Two candidates, Akhileshwar Mahto and Indu Devi, filed their nominations today for the post of Mayor in the ongoing municipal elections.
They submitted their nomination papers before the Returning Officer-cum-Additional Collector Vinod Kumar, and Assistant Returning Officers Bal Kishor Mahto and Vishal Kumar Pandey. The nomination process was completed smoothly in a peaceful atmosphere.
With nominations underway, political activity in the city has intensified as candidates reach out to voters with their development agendas and vision for urban governance.
