◆ Deputy Commissioner Conducts Inspection of Belgarhia Township

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Aditya Ranjan today conducted a detailed inspection of Belgarhia Township, developed under the Jharia Rehabilitation and Development Authority (JRDA). During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed multiple infrastructure and development sites including the newly built JRDA office, Primary School at Jharia Vihar, Belgarhia Health Sub-Center, Upgraded Middle School at Chatatand, RSP College, and the designated sites for pond restoration, park beautification, and a large-scale Skill Development Center. Key Directives Issued: Education Sector: During his school visits, Shri Ranjan instructed the Building Division to prepare a premium estimate for construction of boundary walls, assembly stage, kitchen-cum-dining sheds, toilets, and overall school renovation. He emphasized ensuring excellence in infrastructure with no compromises. Healthcare Improvements: At the Health Sub-Center, he directed that the building be reconstructed to facilitate maternity services and accommodate ANMs and CHOs with proper infrastructure. Livelihood through Fishery: Inspecting the township pond, the DC instructed officials to initiate its renovation and integrate fish farming as a sustainable livelihood option for local residents. Instructions were issued to the District Fisheries Officer and Cooperative Society for implementation. Skill Development Infrastructure: Shri Ranjan reviewed the land identified for setting up a large-scale residential Skill Development Center. He emphasized accelerating efforts to create employment-oriented training opportunities for the township's youth. Anganwadi and Park Beautification: He also instructed for the construction of buildings for three Anganwadi centers and gave directives for beautification and landscaping of the township park. The inspection team included officials from JRDA, DMFT, the Building Division, and other departments. The Deputy Commissioner stressed timely and high-quality execution of all developmental initiatives to enhance the quality of life in Belgarhia Township.
