Jharkhand Set to Go Fully Digital: “E-Office Lite” to Be Implemented by January 2026
Ranchi, July 15, 2025 – In a major push towards digital transformation, the Jharkhand government is preparing to implement “E-Office Lite” across all departments by January 2026. At the helm of this initiative, Chief Secretary Smt. Alka Tiwari chaired a high-level review meeting with heads of departments to assess the project's current status and execution strategy.
The Chief Secretary directed the IT Department to ensure that the system is implemented with zero errors, with particular emphasis on data security, file transparency, and ease of access from remote locations. She instructed that all old physical files must be scanned and uploaded in PDF format to eliminate dependency on manual records.
Representatives from RailTel, NIC, and JAP-IT, who presented the technical framework, were directed to create a clear implementation timeline and ensure smooth integration across departments. "Government files are extremely sensitive. Our priority is to protect them from cyber fraud and delays due to physical handling," the Chief Secretary emphasized.
