Batting first, England Women posted a competitive 258/7 in 50 overs, with solid contributions from their top and middle order. India’s bowlers kept things tight, with Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Thakur picking up key wickets at crucial moments.
India’s top order saw some early jitters, but it was the middle order that held the innings together. Deepti Sharma, known for her composure under pressure, delivered a clinical performance—scoring 62 off 64 balls*.
