Jharkhand Chief Secretary Mrs. Alka Tiwari on Sunday visited the Moonidih Colliery under the Western Jharia Area of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) to inspect the ongoing underground mining operations.
During the visit, the Chief Secretary interacted with BCCL officials and reviewed safety measures being followed in the mines. She personally observed the underground coal extraction process and took detailed information on production, coal dispatch, and coal quality from the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of BCCL.
On her arrival at Moonidih, she was warmly welcomed by BCCL CMD Mr. Sameeran Dutta.
Several dignitaries accompanied her during the visit, including former Chief Secretary Mr. D.K. Tiwari, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Aditya Ranjan, ADM (Law and Order) Mrs. Hema Prasad, Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Director (Technical Operations) Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Technical, Project & Planning) Mr. Manoj Kumar Agrawal, Director (HR) Mr. Murali Krishna Ramaiya, and Putki Circle Officer Mr. Vikas Anand, among others.
Mrs. Tiwari appreciated BCCL’s efforts and emphasized the importance of maintaining high safety and efficiency standards in mining operations.
