BJP MP and senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has strongly supported the investigation into the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Rolls in Bihar. Speaking on the issue, he emphasized that only Indian citizens have the constitutional right to vote, and there should be no hesitation or objection to an inquiry ensuring the integrity of the voter list.
Prasad stated, “Voting is the fundamental right of Indian citizens, and any irregularities in the electoral rolls must be thoroughly examined. The democratic process must remain transparent and credible.”
His remarks come amid concerns raised over the authenticity and verification processes during the roll revision, especially in sensitive regions. The BJP leader reiterated that a clean and accurate electoral roll is the foundation of free and fair elections.
